Exclude Visits

When you are actively developing your website, you probably don’t want your own pageviews polluting your analytics data. Analytika provides several ways to exclude your own visits.

1. Localhost Exclusion (Default)

By default, the Analytika tracking script ignores any traffic coming from localhost or 127.0.0.1. You do not need to configure anything to prevent local development traffic from appearing on your dashboard.

2. Using LocalStorage

If you want to exclude your visits on your live production site, you can set a flag in your browser’s local storage.

Open your browser’s Developer Tools (F12) while on your website, go to the Console, and run:

localStorage.setItem('analytika_ignore', 'true');

As long as this flag is present in your browser, the tracking script will immediately abort and will not send any data to the Analytika edge servers.

3. IP Blocklisting

If you have a static office IP address and want to exclude your entire team, you can add your IP address to the blocklist in your Analytika dashboard under Settings > Filtering.
